Something is odd with this Chinese 10 cash

Here is one Chinese ten cash that I am completely stumped with. This came from a huge bunch of Chinese cash that I bought recently.

Can you see what they are? There are at least 3 unique thing about this coin that makes it differ from the average Chinese cash coins.

The coin is in a coin alignment by the way.

I see some strange doubling with the extra dots south of the rim on the obverse. I don't know these coins so i really can't give an accurate asessment on the coin this is just a guessing came

I don't think it's a clash mark or double struck but it's true that there is something in the foreground. Come on, there should be many people in this forum that know something about Chinese coins don't they?

If you are impatient, you can check my omnicoin collection for hints and examples.

That is a clear indication this is a die clash check out the marks in red. I think there is something else going on with the coin but you are not specifing what kind of oddity.

I;m not famliar with the coins design if that is the area your going in and most collectors are not into these types

I;m looking at it as a error oddity not a design oddity please specify

Nice coin GX.
I'm not so familiar with Chinese coins but one thing is for sure; this coin had had a real bad day in mint.

Is the source of the discolourment one of the odditties?
There was a guy on ebay selling one that had passed through a dog's digestive system ...

Nah there's nothing wrong with the color. There's something that's a lot more serious than that. Unfortunately, you might need to read the Chinese characters. A big hint - from what province is this coin from?

Yes! It's overstruck over this coin. In 1895 there are two varieties but this is the variety it was overstruck over.

On coincommunity, someone managed to identify where are the underlying text

Really brilliant work
