I wouldn't think so if they were still a current series. I closed a bank account out today and asked for the bulk of it in 1's 5's and 10's. I went through a bunch of straps that had the actual Fed Strap on them and didn't find a single star. I know they take the older stuff out. The oldest I found was a 1999. I did find a 1963A $1 in one of my change machines at the laundromat today.
