Spoilers

Pete, I am a member on another forum, and there is a "spoiler" option. It would be used in a situation where you were talking about something someone may not want to hear... such as a movie ending, or the end of a book.
You put a spoiler tag and type everything is the spoiler. Then for someone else to read it, they would come along and click the word "spoiler", in your post, and it would open all your text.
Now, the reason it would be applicable here would be for pictures. For threads where there are many pictures, and people have slow dial up, the page won't take half as long to load, and to look at the pictures, all they have to do is open it. I will post screen shots to clarify.
Shawn

I actually think that's a really good idea. I don't have dialup...but I feel for those who do. So, it gets my vote.

I'm sure I'm one of the few that have dial-up and I really don't care. It would be one more click to be able to see a photo and to some that might seem like a bother.

Most people on Dial-up these days have accelerators to speed up load time--and they work pretty good. The one that I'm useing says that it is making it somewhere close to 18x faster. It downgrades how clear the photo loads on the page and if I want to see it clear I click on it and it loads clearly.

I'm on dialup and would like that for some of the higher resolution/larger pics. MrBrooklyn has some pics that start grainy and get better as you wait. If you didn't want to do the spoiler way, maybe he could help with that if you don't know how.(I can't remember how right now).

As long as it doesn't add too much incremental overhead, I'd be for the "spoiler" option. It would just be an option, not an obligation.

I like the way you think. However, reading some of the responses to some of my jokes, I wonder how many people will click to see the answer?? I'm all for it if you can do it Peter.

I'm not against the idea provided that we are given the option to turn on or off the feature in the CP. I don't want clicking several pics in a page individually just to view them when using my PC however this is a sound solution for browsing CT using my PPC with slow GPRS.
