Question Mystery Canadian Nickel

I was recently handed a canadian nickel by one of my friends who knows I enjoy mysteries... THIS nickel - while it looks fairly new (I have a few other canadian coins) has no date stamped on it anywhere... Can someone tell me if this is an oddity, a rarity or something truly special?
Thanks ahead of time... oh and if it does turn out to be worth something I'll give you forum folks first crack at oit in return for the help.
Thanks.

A 2002 QE's Golden Jubliee issue. Look under the Queen's head for the date.

There are actually 2 dates on the Golden Jubilee commemorative coins - 1952-2002.I have got a 10c. & a 25c. from Canada bearing these dates.
They also have the letter 'P' below the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.This is not a mintmark, but it indicates that the coin is plated.

My Mood:
Aidan I must agree with what you have said but collectors in Canada and the U.S. refer to the P as a mint mark and the Canadian guide books do the same!

I don't think that Charlton list the 'P' as a mintmark though.

I have got 2 2001 5c. coins from Canada. One has the 'P' below the head, whereas, the earlier one doesn't.The 'P' one appears shiny like the steel Fijian 5c.,10c.,20c.,& 50c. coins that have been struck since 1990,so therefore, the 'P' indicates the plated coin.
