Westward Journey Nickel mint sets

I bought the 2004, 2005,& 2006 Westward Journey Nickel Series Coin Sets that came in sealed plastic containers the size of proof set containers. Each set has six coins; the P & D uncirc and the S proof of each of the two Westward Journey design for that year.

I have never seen their resale value listed in a coin magazine, although I did see an ad by a dealer (Paul Sims, I think) who was selling them for less than the mint price!

Do any of you know what their resale value is now? Have you seen them listed anywhere?

I thought they were sorta neat, but I guess I'm the only one! I guess they weren't a big seller.

My Mood:
I think the 2004 sells for 25-35 but the 2005 can be had for around 10 - 15 and the 2006 can be had for 7. All E-bay prices. You can do better at a coin show if you buy alot from a dealer.

Thanks for the info.

I go to the Long Beach (CA) coin shows, but I have never seen them offered, nor have I seen them in Coin Prices magazine.

I think I saw a mintage figure puplished in Numismatic News of around 250,000, so I'm not the only guy who bought them!
