Coins, Hard Times and Civil War Tokens

Hi everyone,
We just listed some Hard Times Tokens and Civil War Tokens tonight that will end on 1/19. We also have a number of coins running ending tomorrow night and Friday night. Take a look if you get a chance.

Susan,

The 1837 Hard Times Token is pretty neat. What is the history of this type of coin?

I also want to commend you on your "how we grade coins" link. That is very informative for the beginner.

Larry

I wish I knew more about them, but here is a link:

I just got my Hard Times Tokens book yesterday, and it doesn't give as much individual history for each token as I had hoped.
