| Problems with main page
When i first hit cointalk.org i login... it says thanks... then takes me right back to the home page as if im not logged on.
If i click on the little folder right next to "Coin Talk - The forum to Discuss Old Coins" it reloads the page and im logged in.
I run several forums and dont have problems with those. and visit many forums. no problems but this one.
Any one else having problems?
Thanks guys

Actually, yes. When I was visiting my daughter and using her computer that would happen. However, it stopped when they reloaded the operating system. So I strongly suspect it has something to do with your system and not cointalk.

Deleting cookies might have worked just as well. It's the ones that use AOL that have the worse problems.

I assure you the they did not reload the operating system because I had a problem with this site once a month or so when I was visiting them. They were having many other problems which were pretty well fixed when it was reloaded.

If I type in CoinTalk.org into my address line, the main page comes up and it doesn't recognize me but if I click on a email from one of the threads I'm subscribed to, it shows me logged in. So now I don't type in the address in the morning, I click on one of my emails and come in here via the link.
It works doing it from an email link but it should work the old fashion way too?

remove all your private data. And make sure cointalk isn't in any of the cookie or password restitutions folders
My guess is that the database is corrupt on the XP file system. It happens pretty easily with windows XP

You could also just bookmark your favorite thread instead of typing in the url.

Where I had the problem was I had a thread open but wanted to reference another thread, so I opened another page and typed in the address and then I ran into problems. I went ahead and re-logged on, even though I was already logged on with the other thread, and went and found the thread I was looking for.
I saw that others had similar problems and figured I'd raise my hand with them, so you wouldn't think it was an isolated incident.
