But seriously, this is terrible. I know that the slabs are crude. (for now, anyway), but does this mean that I will have to learn how to identify and grade coins for myself?
Oh, the horror!

I got a big laugh out of it myself but it might just trick somebody getting started. I personally don't have any VD85 coins
It really looks to me like a digitally "enhanced" pic. Notice the shadow on the reverse and the golden hue on the obverse bottom part of the slab. There may not even be a physical fake slab here but only a doctored image.

This is almost funny, except the next time there will be fewer mistakes in the auctions.
PS There doesn't seem to be any way to contact Ebay to let them know these are a) fakes being offerd as real, b) fake slabs/doctored pictures, c) copyright infringements on PCGS, NGC, and PCI

| I'm sure the ebay watchdogs will report this one soon if they haven't already. Looks like photoshop to me. Sorry to say, but anybody who falls for this one deserves to get burned. ZERO feedback HORRIBLE grammar, PHOTOSHOP pics, CONTRADICTARY description.
Who do they think they are fooling?

They're also selling fake PCGS slabs. And exactly what is AU75 condition? (Sorry, I read the posts after I had posted this - guess I should have read first ) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...773295548&rd=1
And, BTW, what exactly is the grade VD85 on the NGC slab?
Needless to say, I have reported this wonderful seller. If any of you also want to report this seller's auctions, please report them by clicking the link below and clicking on "Report" at then bottom of the page. You can report up to 10 auction numbers at a time. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-coins.html

Scumnuker looks for auctions like this and bids them up so people don't get suckered. It's always nice to know that Scumnuker is on patrol

Look at where the seller is China- I have nothing against China, but I have been very leary of purchasing on line from China or even Singapore, -I lived in singapore for a short while - I have many friends there but they can counterfit better than any one.
