LinkBack Thread Tools Rate Thread Display Modes 01-04-2005, 04:01 AM   #1 (permalink) CoinSwede Senior Member   Join Date: Dec 2004 Posts: 156 Wrong text on label, coins slabbed by ANACS I bought a batch of PF69 statehood quarters from Heritage Auctions. Three of the coins say "Ohio" on the label, but only one of them is actually an Ohio quarter. The other two are Tennessee and Louisiana coins, but the label says "Ohio". The serial number are different on the three coins. Should I contact ANACS and ask them to reslab the coins? There are markets for slabs regardless of the coin. The coins themselves aren't that valuable, but I guess it would be kind of neat to have "error slabs". I called ANACS and they offered to reslab them for free and reimburse me for my shipping cost. There are a number of people who collect slabs. I would imagine that a nice error slab would be worth a lot more than a typical slabbed statehood quarter would ever bring. Enjoy them.
