| Nekkid Ladies On A Canadian Banknote Until 1942 Canadian Charter banks issued paper money commercially. These notes are an integral part of the Canadian paper money history. They often had unique and very lovely designs that were memorable long after their time in circulation had passed. The Canadian Bank of Commerce had arguably the loveliest currency around, the designs dated into the early 20th century, and were actually American Banknote Company designs, but were continued after Canadian Banknote Company was spun off from the former. This particular $20 features Neptune and three naked young maidens on the front of the note, and a young man and woman on the reverse encompassing the institution's seal. Canadian Bank of Commerce merged with Imperial Bank of Canada in 1961 and continues in business as Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce or CIBC. |

Lovely notes, Scottish. Is it getting hot in here, or is that just me?
