Hi Everyone,

I have some old coins, some I collected as a child and some my Dad and Uncle gave to me which I have basically kept in a drawer for about 40+ years. Some are USA and some are foreign my uncle brought back from overseas when he was in the war, Korean I think. I took them to a coin dealer today to see if they were worth anything. Maybe I am missing the boat, but all he seemed concerned with was the metals content. He spent about 2 minutes and didn't even look very closely at most of the coins. He didn't look at the foreign coins at all, said they weren't worth anything. Is this what coin collecting is all about these days - doesn't anyone just want old and interesting coins to finish out collections?
