1886 Morgan needs your grading!

I just bought this and a Peace Dollar (which I might post later if anyone is interested in looking) from a friend of mine and was wondering what you think about it. The scratches on the surface are from being in the bag with the other MS Morgans, but they're very small and shallow. I know the Morgans aren't rare, but I had to have it as a collectible anyway. Tell me what you think (grading, value, any comment)!

Thanks!

Unless your pics are funny, somebody wasn't very nice to that coin. I'd say grade is AU details but damaged. Value, a bit over melt.

I hate to say it but we will need better pics than that to grade your coin. I assume you scanned it because it has that "scanned look" where everything is pixelated. Maybe someone here can advise you on how to set your scanner to make better images.

better pictures?

I tried taking pictures of it, so hopefully these are better than the scan. Tell me what you think or if you have any tips on digital pictures/manual focusing...it's kinda difficult. Thanks!

My opinion hasn't changed in regard to grade, but those pics are much better. What I thought might be damage was just the other pics.

I would have to agree with GDJ, AU-53. It is still a nice looking coin.
