Question on selling bills

I have a couple of bills I may have to part with. One that I bought and the one my wife recently found.
My question is, would it be worth it or to my advantage to have them graded by PMG before selling them or should I just sell them raw.
I don't have to make a killing on them just a fair price.
Here are the bills in question. BTW the $10 is very crisp.

well viper IMHO you hit on a subject that could split folks, just like in grading coins

if you sell to an audience that buys the note and NOT the grade, it wont matter. But getting it graded will hit both sides ... those who grade the note themselves, and those who look at the number only. If the note is rare and pricey, i would say yes, get it graded, but more so for protection. If the note is a common one, i would be more inclinded just to sell as is. not really worth it to spend the money to get it graded, if that money spent wont be recovered in the sale.

Okay, the $10 is probably an EF, and a fair value on it would be about $40.

The $20 is exciting, it is a minimum of VF-30 or so, but is priced at $150 in VF-20 and $500 in EF, the Stars have it.

Before paying to have them graded, consider your fellow collectors here in CT first. In fact give us first shot anyway and saving yourself the front end dough to sell them.

That was kind of my thought. The problem with the $10 is it is so crisp I don't know haw to grade it and pics don't do it justice. no bends,fols or marks.

Thats what makes me think it may need graded, that is quite a spread. I don't want me or a potential buyer to get a bad deal.

The problem I find with selling better FRN's even stars on eBay etc. lately is that the prices are comparatively soft compared to selling them on Heritage etc. But with Heritage etc. you take a bigger bite on commission. I sold this bad boy on eBay, my last eBay transaction for selling.

This is a pretty rare note, for a note that was printed in ca. 1965-6:

I was hoping for $200 for it, got $114 and some change. But... I did make a profit, well my favourite Non-Profit, made a profit of $64 plus the value of the note. So it all worked out.

BTW in VF-20 this cats at $400
