My Mood: | What's up with this?
I was just checking the US Mint website about one of my orders when I noticed that my order for the UNC set was already posted. But get this..... The set is scheduled to go on sale in two days.... and it already says the set is back ordered until August 18th. What the heck!!!!!!

What it means is that there were enough orders that came in before yours that took all of the coins they had ready to ship. So your order has been backordered until they have more ready to ship.

So I am thinking that I should be on the first run, right? I guess not. Oh well. I think I will take someone's advice that was mentioned in another thread and cancel all my subscriptions and just order at the end of the year. That alone will save me tons of money in shipping.

And how many other thousands of people do you think there were just like you ? It comes down to what time you placed your subscription. I can remember when I placed my subscriptions, I always got my coins before anybody else. It was just luck, I happened to be one of the very first. The folks here, even the folks on the old Coin Talk forum used to always give me a hard time about it asking if I knew somebody at the mint. Ask Speedy, he'll remember those days. But it was just luck, I just happened to be on the mints site the day that subscription page first went up, I clicked on it and I was in like Flint from then on.

| Wrong, all the subscription does is guarantees that you will get them, not that you will be one of the first to get them.
