1900 1/4 Gulden From Netherlands

Y'all have been very helpful on some of the other questions that I have had and I appreciate it very much.

I've got an old coin that I was curious about a value of (and content). I have the 09 Standard Catalog of World Coins 1901-2000, but do not have the catalog for the older coins.

Could someone help me out a little?

It's about 19mm.

My Mood:
This is a nice coin you don't find easily in better grades.
In the first place: it is indeed a 1/4 gulden with the effigy of queen Wilhelmina, struck at the Utrecht Mint. But it has been struck for the colony of Curaçao, a Dutch possesion in the Caribbean. The legends say KOLONIE CURACAO (Colony Curaçao) and not KONINGRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN (Kingdom of the Netherlands)
It is in Krause as Curaçao KM#35 1/4 gulden; mintage 480,000; 3.58 gram of 0.640 silver.
Catalog value in lower grades than fine are not given, F = 12 US$; VF = 20 $. Your coin grades much lower than fine (I should say good, being too worn for vrey good).

Still, it stays an interesting piece.

Fantastic!

I appreciate your going to the trouble to look that up for me.

I think I have 5 coins that are 1900 or older, so I have not invested in the references for those yet.

Thanks!
