1938 Ddo

Hi. I just purchased a 1938 DDO "Die 4."

Does this correlate to the DDO listed in Cherrypicker's (FS 021)??? If not, then does it show up in another reference?

Any information you can give me on this coin would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that the one in the CPG is die 2.
http://www.conecaonline.org/content/...s19381941.html

On that page you will see at least 13 different listings for the 1938 DDO....check out the die markers and see what one your matches up with. I'm going to say that since your says die 4 check out DDO-4 first.

The CONECA variety listing is a nice listing, but it also can make you scratch your head all day

The 2 1938 DDO's in the CPG are listed on CONECAonline.org as DDO-002 (FS-021) and DDO-005 (FS-021.5).

Thanks for the help!

Thanks to everybody for your input.

I don't have the Wexler book, but I'm considering getting it. If anyone has it and can post the information it has about this coin (without violating copyright laws, of course), I'd appreciate it.
