even when younger she was a horror.I bet she sat there while servants rushed around cooking her roast pig and venison. If you stuck an apple in here mouth she would look good on a spit

I don't like wreaths very much, or even at all to be honest. I refuse to collect Victorian sixpences or Edward VII sixpences cos they're all wreath reverse, and i just think the reverse is bland.

Shields are my thing, anything with a shield and a crown on and i'm all there. I know the shield reverse sovereign has a wreath but the shield more than makes up for it cos it adds something, it escapes the blandness.

I think the wreath reverse is my pet hate when it comes to British coins, it's up there with the Churchill crown.

lol yeah the churchil crown is a joke, millions of them about.i did have one that was painted though which kinda passed rubbish to just poor in desirability.

i like the wreaths i think they look good on the shillings, the australian sovereign its more that it has the wording on it that appeals to me.I think the shield back on the victorian sixpences is a little too small to have so much going on.

ive got a few shield back half soveregns which are quite nice but i feel ya need a bigger coin to do it justice.

Oh the shield back half sovereign, one of my favourites, gorgeous design. I had a gorgeous Jubilee one, but the young head ones are the best cos they have a fancier crown.

I was also partial to the George V shillings and sixpences with the lion on crown. Who could forget the Edward VII florin? Who could forget the Williamian and Victorian copper?

I do like William IV shillings, although the reverse doesn't grab me so much, the obverse just looks right on that diameter of silver.
