Welcome to coin talk David!
Its hard to value your coin without pictures or at least a detailed description but its probably worth very roughly $40 depending on exactly what condition its in.

"Very good" might not be the condition of the coin in numismatic terms.

I saw some 3 cent pieces once, they landed in a ship and performed medical experiments on me that I don't want to talk about.
