| Paypal SNAFU
Well , Here's a Paypal story you'll love. I go to make a payment of $38 through Paypal last night and I get a message saying I can't because my balance left is only $10. I look into my account and sure enough it shows the balance left is $10. Well , now I'm confused since my limit is $10,000. I call customer service and here's what I'm told. Oh yes , after many years of loyal payments you have reached the limit of $10,000 ( no fraud involved ). So now what I ask ? Well , I'm told I have 2 choices .. get a new credit card through Paypal , or attach a bank account to my account , which is what Paypal calls " being verified " . So now I'm ticked. After making my feelings known I reluctantly attach a bank account to Paypal. Now I'm told it will take 5 business days for Paypal to " verify " the account by sending 2 wire funds (each less than $1 ) to the bank. I thanked them for the big money donation going into my account !!! The bottom line is ... don't be surprised if it happens to you ( some of you may have already gone through this ) . Just another example of how you get treated for being a loyal and honest customer in this day and age.

Lol, its been a while since linked my bank account to paypal. But if i remember correctly, your not getting any free money from them. Maybe they deposit 24 cents into your account for the first transaction, but Im pretty sure the second transaction is them taking their 24 cents back.

Taking it back in fees on the next item you buy maybe. They'll send something like .10 and .11. They don't take it back.
I registered my bank account with them years ago and have never had a problem. Some sellers won't sell to or ship to an unverified address or account to avoid identity theft.

Nope! PayPal does not get their money back. It is cheap assurance that all of your numbers are correct.

The best way to circumvent the limit is to use eBay Gift certificates. $25 and $50 at your local Safeway. No loading charge.
Used that trick for at least year. No problems whatsoever.

i got 'verified' years ago ... i got 3 of my banks linked. Back when i got verified, i was only allowed up to think $75 before it got locked.. maybe it was $250. Either way, i knew back then it wasnt enough.
If their new limit is $10,000 without getting verified .. thats a nice limit.
