FRB show on Travel Channel

Did anyone catch that show on the Travel Channel the other day about the FRB system. It was dated, from 2000 but still interesting. I watched it, and I have to say I actually learned something, I never before learned how they make money (from engraving to printing) They also talked about how they make the paper for the bills.

Actually, now that I think about it, the show was really about how they make money, and not about the FRB at all....

Still was interesting....

Cheers,
David

I have seen it many times. Even though it is old, it is still interesting. It is usually preceded or followed by the West Point mint gold coin documentary. It is interesting too, and I believe it says something about $300 an ounce.

It's amazing how many people have no idea what the FRB actually does for economic policy. When you goto their visitor's center, even they "gloss" over their other roles and focus on cash.

Most of the gold in FRB- New York is gold from overseas. Most of it was brought there during WW II to be protected and it has not left. In fact, the Magna Carta was housed in Ft. Knox during the war among other items.
