I recently aquired a 1999W George Washington Proof commemorative in it's Mint display case for WAY below what they are selling for on Ebay. My question is do I send it out to NGC or PCGS for grading or not. I know everyone will have a different opinion, but that is what I am looking for. The coin will go up for resale in the near future, I will not be holding on to it as I am not a big commemoratives collector. __________________ WINS # 534 MSNS #9969 It is every man's obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it. --Albert Einstein   12-01-2004, 05:36 PM   #2 (permalink) susanlynn9 Coin Collector     Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 1,311 Based on the few that have sold on eBay, it appears that a PCGS PR69 DCAM will sell for around $100 more than ungraded, so I would say it could be a good idea to have it graded, as long as you don't see any reason why it wouldn't come back a very high grade. If there is even a single flaw that you can see, I wouldn't bother. That is why I might have it graded. I can see no problems on the coin at all, but I am not a great grader when you come to extremely high grade coins.
