Need Help with French Coin

Howdy,

I went to the local flea market today and was I was there I found two coins that I liked. One is a Chinese coin I think and I shall be posting a photo of it soon since I have no idea what the coin is but I do know it has a Dragon in a shape of an 8 with only 4 claws on each of its 4 legs and there are 14 flowers I think in the middle and at the bottom is a Horse running to the left. (I'll be posting a photo soon).

Now the 2nd coin I bought is an 1854-A 5 cents French coin with the head of Napoleon II Empereur.

Here is an image to what it looks like from the worldcoingaller.com website: http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/img7/69-777.jpg

The only difference is that my coin is more XF to VF condition and shows allot of details on it with a 2 tarnish spots near the CINQU but you can still read it very well.

Does anyone know what the value is? I paid the guy 3 dollars for the coin but he wanted 5 dollars for it.

So do yall think I got a good deal on this coin for only 3 bucks?

Well your catalogue value (Krause) says it is worth $5 for VF and $14 for XF with a mintage of 28,767,000.
So compared to that you did well!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I guess you could say I did good. This is my 3rd coin which are dated in the 1800's the other two being 1879 (Chile) and 1845 (Belgium).

I got the Chile and Belgium at the local flea market also along with 3 other coins (for a total of 5 coins) for 8 bucks for the lot but at first he wanted $37.00 for all 5 coins but I said I'll just take the Chile coin only, then he said i'll give them to you all for $8.00 so I said deal.

I guess he really wanted to get rid of them.

Well staying on topic here are the photos of the French coin but the scanned images don't do the coin any justice. They look super good in person. Both Images are scanned at 300 DPI
