Clinker Trivia: Kennedy on World Coins

Being a member of Coin Talk you know President Lyndon B. Johnson was responsible for President John F. Kennedy's likeness being put on the Half Dollar minted in 1964. You, further, know this was the first time a President's likeness was put on a coin within a year of his death. Plus you know two other things about the Kennedy Half Dollar of 1964:

1) The 25 year production of the Franklin Half did not happen.

2) The 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar was the last 90% silver business-strike coin minted in the United States of America.

Here's an image of the '64 Half Dollar:

President Kennedy was so well liked other countries honored his memory on their coins. An image site will be posted if I can locate one. Whether I post a site for photo or not, "KM" numbers will be listed.

The Isle of Man authorized the creation of a 1987, 4 coin proof set, commemorating the Bicentenary of America’s Constitution featuring the Statue of Liberty surrounded by these U.S. Presidents in clockwise order; Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Washington, James Monroe, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan:

1/2 Crown, Gold (KM187)

1 Crown, Copper-nickel (KM176)

5 Crown, Silver (KM177)

Here's a photo from an e-bay listing (may or may not show image):

The Marshall Islands authorized the striking of a $50 Silver coin in 1995 commemorating John F. Kennedy taking his presidential oath of office (KM#275).

NIUE has honored President Kennedy more than any other country with the following coins:

In 1988 (30th Anniversary of his death) they created a complete series dedicated to his workd famous declaration, "Ich bin ein Berliner":

Here's an image of the $5 coin courtesy of Don's Coin Gallery:
