As it turns out, i dont much like them. At least for me, they are a bit too flimsy for my likes. I was wondering if anyone knew the thickness of them. I have NOT been able to find that on the internet. I think they are 5mil, but have no way of telling. I only assume they are 5mil because i have some that i think are 10-15 that are thicker Click here to enlarge see how i logicaly came to my conclusion? Click here to enlarge

The package says 'Polyethylene Terephthalate' which is basicaly what Mylar is (at least a search under that chemical tells me it is made under the Mylar name)

I have done EXTENSIVE searching tonight for a mylar sleeve that is closer to 15mils thick. but have been hugley unsuccesfull.

Anyone know of a more rigid mylar sleeve?

    thanks!!!!!

    I need some sleeves. lol

the 5$ star I sent you, are they sleeves like that?

    but um, I dont know.
The ones Ive found on ebay are either rigid, or the semi-rigid kinda flimsy ones that I like.

I like these because they stack thinner when you are stacking alot of notes together, but I don't believe they provide much in the way of protection (other than from dust). If something even remotely with an edge hits them, they do "crease" which could also put a crease in the note. You could also easily crease these by accidentally folding them.

The lack of protection doesn't bother me much because I prefer to show my notes in binders, but if you handle them individually, you do need to be careful.

Sorry I don't know where you can find thicker ones.

On a side note.....I bought some large currency leeves, the stiff ones, they are perfect for cutting to size to replace Dansco sleeves.

I have a old school papercutter, and trim them to fit, I was able to get new sleeves into some scratched up pages for next to no cost......

I buy mine from www.jpscorner.com. I've had decent service with them, but never had a situation come up where I had to test their customer service out.
