Now, some assistance with this one please!
I've been collecting foreign coins (in a serious way) for the last six years and I can identify certain designs, characters, faces, emblems, etc.
But I haven't been able to find any reference for this one. (It was with a big lot that I purchased about a week ago).I know that Germany had political influence in certain areas of China during the first three decades of the twentieth century, but I haven't been able to find any info about this 10 cent? coin. Any details are greatly appreciated.

Hi Monetarium,
My Jaeger coin catalogue says that is a 10 cent piece for the old German enclave in China of Kiautschou, Capital Tsingtau. About 670000 minted in Berlin. The catalogue says that coin is not common: worth about 65-80 Euros in Fine grade.

So, the information for this coin is not listed in the Krause 1901-2000 World Coins Catalog?

As for the Krause, I have an older version (2004) which lists it as "Kiau Chau", between Kenya and Kiribati. In the Schön (German world catalog, 2007) the coins also have their own "Kiautschou" entry. The Jaeger is a catalog focusing on coins from Germany, and includes colonial, occupation, etc. coinage ...
