The Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin set was surprising.

This set seems to contain the 2007-W Burnished ASE that sold out and everyone thought was no longer available.

I really like some of the new offerings. I was surprised too when I saw the w silver eagle in the uncirculated set. But I think it's the nicest set of the bunch. So sue me for being a modern fanatic. I'm not looking investment. I'm looking more for some really great gifts for my grandkids. Maybe start them on the hobby with these.

price comparison

prez proof:
four president proof dollar $4.00 face value cost $$23.80 when you purchase individually.
four president proof dollar $4.00 face value cost $14.95 when you purchase a set of four.
four president proof dollar $4.00 face value cost $4.00 when you purchase a clad proof set. why? $26.95 - $22.95 (last year clad proof set) = $4.00.

prez uncirculated:
8 president unc dollar $8.00 face value cost $17.90 when you purchase two four pc set at $8.95 each.
8 president unc dollar $8.00 face value cost $15.95 when you purchase eight pieces unc set.
8 president unc dollar $8.00 face value cost $6.00 when you purchase mint uncirculated set. why?. $22.95 - $16.95 (last year mint set) = $6.00. note $8.00 for $6.00. what a bargain?.

it is up to you to think about it.

mint promotion to young and new collectors

the u.s. mint want us to buy prez single proof dollar at $5.95 each. so we can promote our young and new collectors. they are other ways to get much cheaper as shown on above. the mint should sell us $1.25 each in order for us to promote young kids. the mint just like to take all our money. no way jose.

clad or silver proof

clad proof price is fixed by dealers and quite stable. while silver proof might have to depend on silver price.
