Nice nickel. I don't think this is an off center coin though...
To make sure if you could post a pic. of the REV it would help. I think it is really a MAD.

I have to ask - what is "MAD"? I tried searching, but the links are useless. It seems like roosevelt dimes are the most off-center coins I see on a regular basis, but never this much. So that is a cool coin.

To add, at least as I understand it, a MAD (mis-aligned die) is 'off center' on one side. An off center is off centered on both sides.

With a MAD, the hammer die did not strike directly over the anvil die but the anvil die is centered (because the planchet is in the collar and the collar is centered.

With an off center, the planchet is not centered between the dies -- either because it isn't collared or because the collar failed to center. And I'm not sure how the collar could fail to be centered. It seems like I read somewhere that the collar is thick enough that the anvil die is inside one end of the collar. Anyone with knowledge to clarify?

Reverse looks centered. My call? You got a MAD '73 with part of GOD missing. I've never found one that MAD.

Lemme repeat, "as I understand it." And I may not understand it perfectly. I'm still learning terminology left and right.

Normally not, but sometimes you might find a buyer willing to pay a buck or two. I find dimes like that by the bucketfull, wish there was a premium for them! You can always try ebay with it.

And I think you did a pretty good job

The coin is not an off center as it has already been said but is a nice showing of a MAD. Since the coin is not MS I don't think there would be much if any added value to such a coin. This is also a small MAD...the ones that would be worth money is were it would be so "MAD" that part of the detail is missing.
