WOZER!!! American Bank Note Co New York "Tallahasse Rail One Dollar Note"

Man, things seem to popping up all over...my Son AJ is into trains big time and this was just called into me from a friend.
Take a look at this Baby! A one dollar note printed for the Railroad Company by the American Bank Note Company , New York.

This fits both my son's likes (for Xmass) and my New York collection!! On the bottom of the reverse it spells out the "American Bank Note Co, New York"

Let me know your thoughts on this special note...

Whoa! That is one attractive note there.

(It just occured to me - if you include the American bank Note Co in your NY note collection, you've got A LOT of work to do!)

Hello Art...It is unissued but not a specimen...it was never assigned or numbered. I was infored that the note passed down from a bank owner through a few generations.

Beautiful note to say the least! Thanks for taking a peek.

Yes, I am aware that the American Bank Note Company has thousands of examples out there...
I am not into collecting all of them just the 4th and 5th Issues of Fractional currency and now that cool Railroad Note my friend/dealer called me on.
I only picked it up fro the main reason that my son is into trains big time. This is something I can leave him and he can leave his son and so on and so on...

Thank you for taking a look at this note and thanks for your post!

Regards,

RickieB

I'm sure your son will love it. It is a very nice note. Glad it has found a good home. I was at my local coinshop today and he had a few New York notes on display. Those must be the few that you haven't managed to obtain! He had some very nice notes and I couldn't decide on which I wanted. So I walked away with a very nice BU Standing Liberty instead. I hope your luck on finding those great notes continues.
