Question -- is this the 1943D DDO? The shadow looks much like the picture in Cherrypickers, but there seems be be some other significant doubling on the date. Is this machine doubling?
Secondly, I found this while looking through some Littleton coins I bought when I was younger. The blurb that came with the set (came with all three 1943s) said: "The coin has been restored to its original luster" (or something very close to that, don't have the sheet in front of me) -- these look really quite shiny -- what'd they do to it?
Also, while the "W" in "WE" looks double, I looked at it very closely yesterday and it doesn't look doubled. Probably a lighting thing. I think..
