Horizontal "D" rpm ?

Was wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of this rpm before. It is a 1961 Lincoln. Not sure but it may be a triple punch and looks like one of the "D" s is horizontal. What do you folks think. If you know where this rpm is documented please let me know . Thanks -Tom

That's a question that would probably be an individual preference. I don't know if any premium would offset the cost of getting this one slabbed. Doubt it though.

Probably would cost about double or more of the coins value. If you just want it in a nice piece of plastic, that's an expensive way to do it.

I think that is a nice RPM!!! There is also a D/D Horizontal on a Jefferson Nickel too! Its on a TY1 1942-D. Keep your eye out for one of those because even in low grade they run for nice bucks!!

The D/Horizontal D is undervalued in the CPG in my opinion. ( $10 MS63). They are hard to find in higher grades, but there are a limited number of people who want to buy one, so supply and demand seems met. Very Nice one, but I agree at this time, not cost effective to slab.

I have found a 6 or 7 of these and have only 2 or 3 left myself from UNC Bank Rolls. They sure get your heart pumping when you find them.

I acquired 20 bank rolls of 1960D, to look for the D/D sm/lg DDO variety when I got time, but as usual, hard to wait , so I cracked one roll, and started out the the scope. Wow, 1st one is a D/D ......as I sorted them , I had 10 or 12 different ones! There must be hundreds of RPM for that year. Wonder what Rocky Mountain High the die sinker was on.
