Thread: Dime with flat points

I have a 1984 dime which is only struck in the centre, there is a rim of flatness around the design. No pictures availiable, but can anyone help me know what it is/what it's worth?

Sounds like a broad strike - a coin struck out of the collar. Value might be a couple bucks.

Without a photo or a more detailed description, it's impossible to diagnose this error or even determine its authenticity. If its diameter is normal, then its probably altered.
