The Open Forum

OK I'm confused. I guess I never really read the rules of something. I noticed that here there are many post but no answers or replies. Don't know why but when I tried to reply to some, could not do it. Of couse if that is true here, then no one will tel me about why since they too can not reply.

Yea, it's the result of a problem we had a while back with people posting not so welcome replies to people's sales threads.

One of these days I'm going to put up a proper marketplace for you guys. Then it'll be moot.

open forum

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice the minimal use of the open forum? So much complaining is done about eBay fees however the free open forum is hardly used. I keep asking how come nobody uses it?
Never did get an answer.

Well I think part of the reason is that we don't have a gazillion ebay idiots to buy and I mean that in a good way as far as CT is concerned.

I've posted some nice, modern U.S. currency with no takers (cept for a 1969 $20 note that I was going to spend). My price on that was basically the cost of the note ($20), a holder and shipping. It ended up in a good home.

As for stuff I wanted a small premium on - no go. The market is not there (at least in currency). I'm good with it as I'll just hang on to it. It will only go up in value in the condition I have it in. Will it cost more than face value and finding it change. Of course but on the other hand does anyone find a BU wheat in change these days?

I'll continue to offer at discounted rates on CT but I won't sell it for face. If it gets to that point I'll just spend it.

Carl, I'm not sure the answers really told you what you want to know. To respond to ain Open or Auction forum listing, contact the poster directly through the PM or email functions..

That procedure keeps the monetary details and the shipping information confidential, just between the participants.
