First you need to enter a message from the front page and only THEN you can do that. Its been broken and the forum button needs to be put back into the blue space. like here.

One way to go right to the forum is to save this link:
http://www.cointalk.org/index.php

In your favorites....that is what I do and have used it that way for years.

I use a public Internet computer at work and the browser doesn't allow for favorites. The "Forum" button is really helpful.....

I agree. It's been difficult to access all the forums without that button.

Guys - the problem you are having is because you have bookmarked your personal CP User page, or the page that Ruben linked ( the Recent Threads page ). And yes, you are right - from those it is difficult to navigate to the rest of the forum. But you were never supposed to navigate to the rest of the forum from those pages.

This is the Home Page for Coin Talk - http://www.cointalk.org/index.php If you will just start there, from that page, you will have no more problems navigating the site. Every single section there is on Coin Talk is listed on that page. All you have to do is scroll up and down the page.

Also on that page is a new set of shortcuts, listed at the top that allows you to go wherever you want. No, it's not the same as it used to be. But that's what software updates are - changes. No program remains the same with updates. It's really quite simple and easy to use.

Also, once you open an section of Coin Talk, you will find the Forum Jump button at the bottom of those pages.

Its still broken

The webserver is then pouring out the wrong page for index.html and for the document root for www.cointalk.org

He needs to make the right link

The command to fix it is:

ln index.php index.html

<A HREF="http://www.cointalk.org/index.php">FORUM</A>

That would fix the page.

I never use the bookmarks. I type

http://www.cointalk.org

Actually I type http://www.coi

and firefox remembers the rest. Also I use the links off my website and they point to http://www.cointalk.org which is the top most URL.

Ruben

I do have the live RSS in my bookmarks in the living room.

Iv'e also noticed that when I start a new thread or reply to one that when I click the New Posts link they don't show up in the new post until somebody replies, they always have shown up before the changes were made, or I can get them to show up on my opening pg., but that puts me back to where I originally started from.

This is my CT start pg and I like it http://www.cointalk.org/

With all due respect, your not understanding how the sight works. It reads your cookies and customizes the front page. Your like doesn't allow me to see your first page. It only allows me to see MY first page.
