    Numismatic Evaluation Service (NES)

I was wondering if any knows about this company located in Freeport Il. I purchsed a 2007 $1 silver eagle that they graded as an MS70. It came with a Certificate of Authenticity and I wonder if it is worth the paper it is printed on. I purchased this before knowing a lot about PCGS and NGC and wonder if I should submit the coin to them to verify the grade. I also could not find anything for the company on the web with NES as that seems to be all about Nintendo. Doh! Any advice will be appreciated. Click here to enlarge

Well, how about, feel sorry for the tree that gave his/her life only to be printed with that nonsense.
Sorry, but they are just another of the alphabet soup of new graders.

    Dave,
More than likely your silver eagle is not an-ms70 by PCGS or NGC standards. Even if it were, I believe that both PCGS and NGC will not cross coins in ms-70 holders (I may be off base here). Click here to enlarge

Unfortunately, the coin is likely not MS-70. I would just enjoy the coin for what it is.....a beautiful American 1 oz. silver piece.
