Grade opinions/guess the grade on this 1834 capped bust half

This coin was graded by PCI. Please offer your opinion to the grade, and also if you wish, guess the grade that PCI assigned it.

I would put it at a 53/55. PCI may have put it in a 58 holder. It is a very nice coin!!!

I consider the coin to be somewhere around au-55. Now here is the kicker, PCI graded it an xf-45! Here is a perfect example of buy the coin and not the slab.

    PCI: AU 55
    Me: XF 45

Looks like a nice coin -- the eye-appeal looks very nice. However, given the high number of cleaned coins in this series, I'd be on the lookout for hidden signs of cleaning.

Have fun & thanks for sharing...Mike

I don't like the stories I hear about that ebay seller but I must say I bought a coin from him once...a 1926-S Buff that was also undergraded a point just like this one.....
