Actually, I would like to hear CladKing's views on 1969D - 1972D Type B Washington quarters...(do you have any? Pops?)

I forgot to mention that at the end of the article Cladking makes some suggestions for modern key coins he recommends. I have followed his posts for years and was surprised at the brevity of this list. I hope he would write a book. I would definitely be a buyer. TC

Cladking is THE MAN! We've preached to each others choir about moderns many times. Click here to enlarge He's one of the few that fully understands my points about the Lincoln Memorial cent series. Of course, I can't resist to say it again....yea, there's billions of them, but most of them (>99.9%) are subpar for reasons that a TPG/Sheldon grade can't describe.

Excellent article! Click here to enlarge

cladking has indeed been around for a long time. I first got to know Sam back in the late '90s, before today's coin forums even existed. His expertise on moderns was as good then as it is today. As another poster in this thread, Longnine, can attest as we were all 3 members of the old Coin World coin forum. But in all those years, this is the first time I have ever seen an article about him published. It is long overdue !

Bravo, fantastic article. I love being particular about moderns, and think that summed it up beautifully in terms of a collector's wants and needs. LOVE the article.

Good article, learned quite a bit about modern and clad coins. If a book is released by Cladking, I would get one.
