Thread: $2 Red Seal

I went to my bank today and my teller knows I collect coins and to my surprise she asked if I wanted $102 in 2$ bills. I said sure why not and brought them home. I was looking through them and came across the red seal. I'm not familiar with paper money so I came here to see if it's worth anything. It's actually in amazing shape. It only has a tiny crease on the left of the "2" on the left side.

That's a nice looking note and it is amazing you found it in circulation. In the condition its in, I bet it would draw a small premium (maybe $3-$5) but its fairly common among collectors.

Yup. I got my crisp uncirculated $2 Red seal for double face. You can probably get $4-5 out of it. Not much profit, but it is there.

Or better yet, frame that puppy and display it.
