Yes, Icarus, and yes, a beauty. The aircraft could be a Blériot indeed; here is one again, on a 2012 piece. But it does not even matter that much which aircraft is depicted, as the whole series (6 silver, 6 gold coins) is about achievements of the 20th century which, in 2000 when these were issued, was about to end ...
