    Peru medal

This medal from Peru came into my possesion a few years ago. It was issued in 1924 to commemorate the battle of Ayacucro. I have seen this medal in gold, but never in silver. Anyone have info on this one ??? Click here to enlarge

For future reference (or Googling), it's A Y A C U C H O. I looked in the August 31, 1971 auction catalog of Almanzar's huge sale of Latin American rarities, tokens, and medals, and did not find this item offered, gold or silver.
