Too bad, it was a nice error note that could have been in the hands of someone who truly appreciated it. Hope the door didn't hit him too hard on the way out.

I would have been very interested in that $2, I have a really nice error frame with 14 different errors but I don't have a deuce... sure would like one to add to my collection. And I don't mind the circulation, that puts the price within reach...
He said in the post, he is going to "WG" to sell his bills.
Too bad he didn't want to stick around for a few more posts to allow him a better chance of giving that bill a good home. I don't have one in my error collection, and as MEC2 said, its condition would make it within my reach.
MEC2, aren't you a WG poster as well? Maybe you can still get it.

In a desperate (and probably vain) attempt to drag this derailment back on to the tracks...
Can someone educate me on what might have been an appropriate ballpark offer for a note such as this, in this condition?
And how much difference would certain changes to condition (say...no tape, or fewer folds) have made?

This note sold for $195 in Sept. 2011 in a Heritage Signature Auction (Longbeach).
I consider this note a better example than the OP's note, and personally wouldn't pay more than $100 to $150 for the OP's note.
