Smile Can someone tell me if this is the rare dime

I found a 1975 dime with no mint mark. Doing a little research some say its rare and other say different. I have noticed a few things such as the elongated number(1975), that the W in we and the Y in liberty are touching the edges and it looks as though the band at the bottom is a bit thick. Can I get some feedback on tis please and thank youDoc1.pdf

    Welcome to CT, Melisa.
Sorry to tell you that your coin looks to me like an ordinary dime with ordinary circulation wear.

Melisa, welcome to CT. Unfortunately mint marks were not added to dimes for coins struck in Philadelphia until 1981 I believe. Therefor, it appears your coin is simple a Philadelphia struck dime.

If it was supposed to have the S mintmark, then it would have been a proof. On that date the San Francisco mint only made proofs. Therefor, it would have been observable by things like extra sharp details, sharp rims, etc that the coin was a proof, and simply missing the S mintmark.

While its POSSIBLE for a genuine no S proof dime to be found not in a proof set, its extremely unlikely. Almost all of these will be found in a 1975 proof set issued from the mint. Any proof coins not in such a set is only because someone smashed the set and took the coins out.

    Hope that helps.
