What are your plans for Numismatics?

I'm interested in learning what some of your guys plans/goals are for numismatics.

At the present moment mine are as follows:

-Work on building a set of Toned Franklins
-Sell off all other U.S. Series (Except Large Cents)

-Learn about world coins such as spanish colonials and florins
-Eventually (Years away) move and stay in Ancients

    How about you?

They always change, but right now:

    1. Work on Sogdian and Kushans as coins come available.
    2. Continue on Sassanid and Hepthalite
    3. Check out any larger lots if I see them. Click here to enlarge

I tend to be opportunistic, and willing to start a mini collection if I can get a great lot. I just bought 23 elymais bronzes, so now my Elymais holding are around 30 coins, (starting to become a mini collection).

Btw Jason, education is always great, but you can start on ancients any time. Click here to enlarge

One day, I will be one of the top dealers of US Philippine coinage, nice US type coins and out of print numismatic resources.
    Cazkaboom and coinguy-matthew like this.
I actively collect, buy and sell US minted Philippine coins from 1903-1945. I am interested in anything during this period, Albums, Coin sets, Proof sets, collections, original rolls and bags, books, pictures, Cullion Leper colony coins etc...

Consolidating dozens of aimless collections into a much smaller collection of quality numismatic items, and mentoring NEWmismatists (youth and others new to the hobby).

    - Finish my NGC graded seated liberty type set with Dollar, Half, Quarter, Twenty cent, Dime, Half dime. No particular grade as long as it looks nice and I like it Click here to enlarge. Also all the different types (rays, arrows). I got the Dollar and the 53 Half and twenty cent piece. This well be my favorite set I will ever (maybe) finish.

Keep hitting the junque silver looking for whatever I can find, find a nice 1891 1 dollar silver certificate, Finish off my merc dime date mint set, finish off my IHC collection (in xf), finish my 20th century Mexican type set, add some more to my 2.5 dollar set, keep searching straps for currency, keep searching rolls for silver and varieties, At some point rent a table at a local coin show and sell off some of my expendables
    E Pluribus FUN!

Dollars: Begin a F-VF and an Uncirculated Peace collection

Halves: Finish the Franklin set in Ms 63 or better (I'm so darn close!)

    Quarters: Start a Washington set

Dimes: Become more serious and adament in an VF-XF Barber collection

    Nickles-Ewww...stay away!

Cents: Finish out the Lincoln cent series

Probably won't hit half of those goals by the end of the year, but there they are. I just switch series whenever I'm bored with one. Happens when you have numismatist ADD.

I have no idea really. I just finished my merc set so now I feel I'm grasping at straws. I guess I'm getting one example of every coin that I like. Then who knows.

Saving money to buy a gold coin. Haven't decided which one yet. There's so many to choose from.

I mostly collect military tokens and local coin
club tokens/medals. I'm still thinking about
getting back into 70's Art Bars. I also like Lincoln
cent BIEs and things associated with them:
cracked skulls, spiked heads and other die cracks.

    "So what's the plan?"
    "Plan? There ain't no plaaaann?"
    Beyond Thunderdome
Private Caje-- "Coward dies a thousand times, brave, only once."

Private Kirby--"That's about all it takes, ain't it?"
