Welcome to the neighborhood, "Mr. Cool"!
There are two oft-used pieces of advice that you should remember.........
1) Read the book before you buy the coin.
2) Buy the coin, not the slab.
Feel free to ask a lot of questions, and when in doubt, ask more questions.

We couldn't really say without seeing good photos of both sides. If it is a problem coin, then $25 might be a stretch. A Morgan contains .77344 oz. of silver which means that its melt value is about $21.

Yea, it's hard to go wrong with a Morgan for $25. As Chris pointed out, it's worth almost that just for the silver. You just have to be careful of fakes.

Welcome, cooltrex! There are lots of YNs here (not me, though) and you should have some fun. Glad you have a Morgan. Those are really neat coins and there are lots of people here who can help you learn the VAMs and how to tell real from fake.

welcome to cointalk cool trex. Its nice to see another young numismatist like myself, as I am 14. I think you did good on your morgan. As said before, If there is .01% of doubt in your head about something, ask questions!! so, what coins do you like to collect?

Also, since you have already bought a morgan (I was hesitant just because of the size and silver), you probably know, but I will say it anyway, DO NOT CLEAN COINS. I just had to say it, because I would rather not say or see people say "you shouldn't have cleaned that coin.
I wish you luck in this hobby.
