I have been up from 6 to 10 working on mapping this reel. It seems like it is right, after looking over all of your "hints" it all matches up... I hope it is right!!!! -

My seventh mapping attempt. Once i made 1 small change it all fell together:
Reel 1: Locomotive, melon, bar, melon, bar, Locomotive, bar, melon, bar, melon, Bar, melon, bar, melon, bar, melon, bar, melon, bar, melon, bar melon
Reel 2: Locomotive, blank, melon, bar, melon, bar, melon, Locomotive, melon, bar, melon, blank, melon, bar, melon, blank, bar, melon, bar, melon, blank, melon
Reel 3: Locomotive, blank, melon, blank, melon, blank, melon, blank, Locomotive, blank, melon, bar, blank, melon, bar, blank, melon, blank, melon, bar, melon, bar
My question: what are the odds of getting a locomotive on the first reel?
I almost forgot to ask one since I think I may have cracked it -

------------------------------------------------ C.A.R.S. Comment And Response Section Comment: Do I get a prize for posting first? I've been laying in bed checking my phone... the suspense was killing me! (Elijahhenry10, Post #211) Response: I kind of figured you would be tapping that 'refresh button' like a woodpecker on a telephone pole, so I took my time and had a cup of tea before posting the results. Follow Up: Actually, your 'prize' for being first to post is you get first choice at all the best symbol combinations.
---------------------- Comment: Here we go, my reel mapping attempt. (LFCfan, Post #225) Response: Nice attempt. Reel #1 had the most consecutive correct of the 22 symbols, with 18 right and 4 in a row wrong.
Follow Up: In evaluating guesses, symbols are considered in a 'circle' on the actual reel of the machine.
---------------------- Comment: Reel mapping attempt... (K2coins, Post #227) Response: Another nice attempt. Reel #1again had the most consecutive correct at 18 symbols. Follow Up: Your guess for Reel #1 is identical to LFCfan in Post #225, and contains the same correct and incorrect symbols.
-------------------------------- Comment: I have been up from 6 to 10 working on mapping this reel. (K2coins, Post #228) Response: Don't feel bad. Evaluating the guesses isn't easy either. I have to check and double-check each guess one time for every Locomotive on every reel. The dead horse you're beating up is me. If it makes you feel any better, you and LFCfan did a great job on Reel #1. You're only mistake was to make an assumption for four consecutive symbols that you may not have seen appear in our contest results yet. ------------------------------------------------- Comment: My seventh mapping attempt. Once I made one small change, it all fell together. (Silentnviolent, Post #234) Response: Your guess begins with a different LOCOMOTIVE than the previous two guesses. And even though your guess is not as close as the two attempts above, you did correctly guess the four symbols that the previous two attempts had wrong.
------------------------------------------------ Comment: What are the odds of getting a LOCOMOTIVE on the first reel? (Silentnviolent, Post #234) Response: Better than the odds of getting a LOCOMOTIVE on either the second or the third reel. ---------------------------------------------- Numismatic Prize List This list should be used for Prize Qualified players in today’s spin only.
