    Help me identify these coins!

    Please take close-up photos or try scanning them. We need to see the detail in order to help you ID these coins properly.

    I will vouch that these were inherited, and have no reason to thig fake, my flash in my phone may make them look fake, I will re-upload w/out flash today when I get home

    Yes please. Some better photos would help us ID them and determine whether they are real or not.

    here are the coins without the flash, i will do a pic with ruler next to them, but the coins r at my friends house, HELP ME, i know these r real i just need to know what they r worth/where they came from :P

    I don't know about the top one, other than that it looks medieval.

    The bottom coin looks to me like a Ptolemaic Egyptian tetradrachm.

    As to whether they are real, I cannot say, I can only guess. It is not outside the realm of possibility that they are counterfeit. Medieval coins were generally pretty crude, so I am not sure how to determine the authenticity of that sort of coin.

    Greek tetradrachma, on the other hand, had a very high level of artistry and were very finely detailed. The second coin has some weird baubles on obverse, the face and on the eagle, and on the reverse, the eagle's mid-section and to the left of the eagle's front leg. These concern me, as an authentic coin shouldn't have these, and they may be indicators of a counterfeit.

    But I'm no expert and I could be wrong.
