actually that note isn't common at all. only 24,000 were printed. in the book i have in VF its worth $350. yours is in way better condition. if you were to get it graded and it comes back GEM you are probably looking at a $1200-1500 note easily. where did you find that note? its a beauty!!!!!![]()
Wow, you really got lucky on that note! Just an idea, urbanchemist is correct in his estimation based on the note being a star note. Send it in to be graded!!
Its being graded. Its a very original note with amazing embossing and paper wave. Very crisp. Its heading down to PMG and will be graded tomorrow. I am guessing a 66EPQ. I see nothing higher than a 50epq on the registry for all the $20's. One is a 62 no epq but that is no where near as desirable as a 50 epq. I am pretty excited to see if it grades and top pops. Never owned the finest anything before.
Awesome score! I hate to be a downer, but I wouldn't suggest to be too optimistic. If you underestimate the bill, and it turns out to be graded higher - well that's all good. Some people end up unhappy when a previously unseen crinkle or smudge brings the note down to 62 or 61.
The centering of the obverse might not going to bring you a gem grade. It all depends on who is grading it.
