I played a 30 hour session this weekend. Played $10-$20 LH for 24 hours and found myself stuck $1700, they called a new $20-$40 LH game at Noon on Sunday and after 6 hours I won $1300 back and left. Spent all day today recuperating. Never did a $400 loss feel like such a win!

Holdem is enough luck that anybody can win on any given night. Besides, this is play money we are talking about and I am the only professional poker player in the group. And as pros go, I am not very good.

How about how guessing how much weight you lose in a given timeframe.

guessing the biggest jackpot you win on your trip

Give everyone a number who enters and pull the slots, the first pull for ct member #1, and so on. The pull that wins the most will give the CT member associated with that number the win (not the amount of the jackpot).

Doug needs to invite you to join the group, you have to PM him your e-mail. That is after we convince him to keep the group alive!

I found out he discontinued the group earlier today. If he decides to give it another shot I would be interested in attending a game or two a month. Though I would guess summer isn't as easy as winter might be with all the outdoor activities and the like.

You could see who could roll a coin (ike, half, quarter, dime, nickle, cent) the farthest.

you could have people guess what and what grade the prize is(half, ms70; capped bust half, vf20)

Heck, you could (for those on here who have musical talent, or for the joy of watching those like me fail) have a contest were people try to make a coin related parody or a whole coin song.

Man back when I used to play all the time I found that I did my best playing short dinky 2-5 hour sessions. Whenever I did some crazy 24 48 or even 72 hour marathon I'd lose like 80% of the time. And definitely could not say I played 100% perfect poker, not even close!

But when Id play a tiny 1-2 hour session much of the time I could honestly say I played near optimum. After then the focus for me slowly would die out. Only in online tournies did I not have this problem for some reason.

Its kinda nice to be just an amature again . I had a 400$ loss a few weeks ago and although it stung I just shrugged it off went home and within a few days it was in the past .


Sometimes I do miss online. Especially from years back when I could multi table 16 tables. Boy was that a rush, really good for your brain too.
