What's the most you've ever spent on a coin?

How much was it? The most I've ever paid was $31 for a Peace Dollar.

Just for it being a coin -- $400 for a slabbed Morgan
If you want to count coins that are worth more as just bullion --- $2100 for a 50 peso Gold.

I don't keep track, but probably somewhere around $1500. I've paid more for currency. If I kept better records I'd might eventually force myself to seek help and quit. So, I'll never keep any records.

I am still relatively new to coins, but if this thread was about wrist watches, it would be a different story! Click here to enlarge
