Japanese Bullion 1 oz silver coin

Meet the coin I recently bought.
Though very pricey, the mintage is limited to 2012 coins. ASW 1 oz .999.
    Year of issue: 2012
Design used is Meiji's trade dollar's one.

Figured something doesn't look right and when I looked it up, manufactured in China:

Quite disappointed with Japan Mint to be honest.

Actually the OP's coin was acquired through the 'Fuji International Mint', a private company... and yes something looked odd about their products prices and coin offerings on their web site to me also. Thanks for the info you added.

The Japan Mint is quite reputable.

krispy, I know what I am talking about. I'm disappointed with the Japan Mint as they could have used that as part of their bullion plan instead of some third party company making them.

There was a medal that featured one yen on one of their medals
