It's a CC. The pennyforyou is not mine but the place I bought it from. Hope it doesn't get pulled for that! I welcome any info on value or VAM or just conversation. Thanks.

    Welcome to the neighborhood!

We would need to see both sides of the coin before guessing about condition or which VAM it may be. Considering the extensive wear, it might be easier for you to find a VAM that matches since you have the coin in hand. Fortunately, for this date/mm, the list isn't too long.

Thanks for the reply. I uploaded the other side. As a CC Mint, I am not sure of VAM quality. Any CC mint Morgan is worth more as a collectors item.

Looking at it from the reverse, it appears that the rim has pretty severe damage, and it probably won't grade. I'm guessing that it would be worth no more than $100 at best.

That's good to hear because if you ever decide to sell it, you'll have to find a coin collector who is blind.

Well I have several Morgans. Is there any one in particular you want? I also have a few Silver Eagles and a couple Silver Philharmonics. I guess we aren't supposed to talk about selling here. my email is rlv@htc.net should you ever want to discuss it.
